Status: Deceased Patricia Bauer (Shumway) Spouse: William	Date of passing: 10 Mar 2018 About our Alumni: atricia 'Patti' Shumway, age 71 of Hendersonville, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, March 10th, 2018. She was born February 22nd, 1947 to the late Lolita and Frederick Bauer of Park Ridge, IL and later Hendersonville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, William 'Bill' Shumway; and by her in-laws, John and Helen Shumway. Patti grew up in Park Ridge, IL where she met Bill in her church's youth group and performed in high school musicals. She possessed a beautiful voice and later sang in church choirs. She and Bill were active in their church and numerous civic groups and raised three children, actively supporting them through numerous activities. In 1986, she and Bill moved to Hendersonville to start a new chapter of their lives. Patti later pursued her empty nest career as a real estate agent. She loved dogs, especially her Shetland Sheepdog, Taffy and her Black Labrador therapy dog, Princess. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Lauri Shumway of Tomah, WI and Christopher and Christina Shumway of Hendersonville; one daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Michael Jerome of Lakeville, MN; eight grandchildren, Noah, Madisyn, Haley, Andrew and Daniel Shumway, and Katie, Lauren and Luke Jerome; and by her brother-in-law, Jack Shumway and his wife, Jean of Columbus.
